ArtSeesdiner

ArtSeesdiner, the other "third place" is that virtual diner where you can come together to share stories, chew the fat, diner on a plethora of ponderings , experience the mystery and wonders of life all in the tradition of the Master Wordweaver. The grand old tradition of soapboxing  becomes virtual.

History

Mary Elizabeth, aka ME, is the dreamer of the wordweavers.  For over fifteen years there has been a daily (well pretty darn close to daily) fascination with opening ArtSees Diner.  A humanities center with coffee at the center of the gathering table.  The coffee part is not original, nor is gathering around a table to share stories so as to connect, to ponder life and the complexity of such, but a humanities center, when blended with a special dose of generous spirit, the creation of another place, a home away from home.  Now... these days that is a little original.

I dreamed of mismatched couches, personalized cups brought from patron's homes, a special brew of coffee (I found the coffee after about ten years of searching on a sisterly cruise, called Raven's Brew ) and people to share their stories, music, their longings for life, with a gentle touch and a family of amazing "wordweavers".   At ArtSeesdiner , someone's waiting, laughing, scheming, hoping, singing, folks are clinging to words and weaving! Join us at the diner!

Master WordWeaver

The Master WordWeaver is H.L. Rapier, father of 10.  A gifted artist, politician, political commentator, writer, barber, a man with large strong hands that could wield a pen with the soft fluttering of angel wings, and bend metal and mold clay as only a skill craftsman could.

I see him standing on deck of a ship, a man before any one should be reference as a man, a man of only 17!  Looking out over the ocean standing before a storm and wondering what all of this world really means.  He came to fear the Lord that night, and he would never fear a storm again! We share his passion, his indignant spirit, we share his fiery eyes.  We all possess the stare, convicition of that fight, most misunderstand the fire, but if you hold the Rapier wit, you have the Rapier eyes and the wordweaving spirit courses through your veins!
